John Conforti

John’s passion for antiques was influenced by his father and he remembers tagging along with his Dad on weekly trips to the local flea markets. He made his first purchase at the age of eight, a 1920s comptometer, which he still has .

After graduating from Newark School of Fine Industrial Arts, John decided to take his passion from a hobby to a business. He opened up a six thousand square foot antique wholesale warehouse and became part owner of the Summit Antiques Center in Summit, New Jersey. By managing these venues, John gained indispensable hands-on knowledge of the fine art and antiques markets.

As the founder of Discovery Estate Sales, John combines his previous experience with conducting high-end professional estate sales in the client's home. Serving attorneys, private clients, and other professionals, he has performed countless valuations and sold thousands of items for his clients. His knowledge, professionalism, and down-to-earth persona have contributed to the success of Discovery Estate Sales.
